Abbey Gardens

Today was a beautiful day so we decided to head down to Bury St. Edmunds and walk around the locally famous Abbey Gardens. This is a park which contains 11th century church ruins and sits just behind a stunning cathedral. There is so much history on this property and I love how the city has made it into a modern day park for all ages to enjoy. We spent a couple hours walking around and letting the kids burn energy on the playground. Kellan and Carter found a group of hungry pigeons and chased them around squealing while spectators stopped and laughed. Then we stopped at the on site cafe and enjoyed some ice cream in the 55 degree English heat. Spring has arrived!

  1. So love visiting England vicariously through your great pictures! Isn’t it amazing how in the states we think something is old when it is a couple of hundred years old? A visit to Europe puts things in perspective 🙂
